Ananda Matthew Everingham is a half Australian-Lao film actor and producer born in Bangkok, Thailand. He attended Bangkok Patana School. He holds Australian citizenship and visited Brisbane, Australia on school holidays. Furthermore, Ananda received some schooling there while living with his grandparents Joan Victoria and George Matthew Everingham. Everingham is the son of a Lao mother, Keo Sirisomphone and an Australian father, Bangkok-based photojournalist John Everingham. His parents' story was loosely dramatized in the 1983 NBC television film, 'Love Is Forever', starring Michael Landon and Laura Gemser, which tells of a photojournalist who scuba dives under the Mekong River to rescue his lover from communist ruled Laos in 1977. His parents divorced in 1997. John remarried a Chinese woman. Ananda has one brother and two half brothers. At age 14, while working part-time in his family's Indian restaurant, Himali Cha Cha, he was discovered by Mingkwan Sangsuwan of GMM Grammy, Thailand's largest entertainment company. He soon started acting in films. At age 16, he switched from Bangkok Patana School to a tutoring school where he would follow flexible course and times while filming. He is also the creative director of his own media arts and event company, Halo Productions, that has produced the critically acclaimed “Good Morning Luang Prabarng”, the first privately funded Lao film in over 35 years. Halo Productions Company is the leader in series remakes in Thailand and is also the first company to bring successful TV series from across Asia to be remade into a Thai version.
