Athena Chu is a Hongkongese actress. She grew up in Kwai Chung, New Territories. In 1984, she graduated from the Catholic Ming Tak School, and for high school, she attended Lutheran Middle School, Tsuen Wan, on Castle Peak Road, Hong Kong. In 1992, she graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a major in acting. She joined TVB in 1991 and hosted the children's program "Flash Fax" as a student. After graduating in 1992, she officially signed with TVB. In 1993, she had her first TV drama appearance in "Urban Fairy Tale." In 1999, she was nominated for Best Actress at the 36th Golden Horse Awards for the film "Fulltime Killer." Aside from her work in film and television, she signed with the Taiwanese record company Top Music in 1996.
