Calvin Chen, a Taiwanese entertainer, rose to prominence by winning the Sunshine Boyz competition in Vancouver, Canada in 2004, marking the start of his career. He is also known as a member of the Taiwanese boy band Fahrenheit (飛輪海). Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Chen attended various elementary schools including Wugu, Ximen, and Mingde. He later studied at Taipei Municipal Mingde Junior High School and Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School. In 1999, he pursued economics at Simon Fraser University in Canada, where he also completed a master's degree and served as a teaching assistant at the University of Victoria. Upon returning to Taiwan, Chen briefly pursued further studies at the Graduate Institute of Finance at National Chengchi University from 2005 but took a leave of absence due to the demands of his entertainment career. In 2012, he joined his sister-in-law's medical equipment company, where he worked as a business manager. On January 23, 2020, Chen announced his marriage to actress Christine Ke (曾之喬).
