Choi Min Yong is a South Korean actor. He graduated from Seoul Gwangyeong High School and later attended the Theater and Film program at Seoul University but dropped out. He made his debut in 1996 as part of KBS's "New Generation Report: Adults Don't Know" but became a well-known figure after his roles in "Nonstop Season 3" in 2002 and in "Unstoppable High Kick" in 2006. However, he became involved in several controversies during these years. In 2004, he signed an exclusive contract with a agency but he unilaterally cancelled the contract. The company sued him in late 2005 and won, so he was fined 20 million Won. In fact, several of his paychecks during his appearance on "Unstoppable High Kick" were seized to fulfill his debts. In 2007, after his appearance in the drama "Finding Love", he became involved in another labor-related controversy with his new agency and he had very few appearances for the next 10 years as he was allegedly blocked from working by the agency's CEO.
