Shirinay Gao, stage name Curley G, is a Chinese singer of Uyghur descent. She first gained attention in 2017 on the Chinese singing competition show Sing! China. She wrote a few songs and released them on her SoundCloud when she was in middle and high school. She lived abroad for eleven years and is fluent in English. She graduated from Berkeley School of Music. In 2020, she participated in the survival show Produce Camp 2020, finishing first and debuting as a member of the girl group BonBon Girls 303. In 2012, she finished as a finalist in the songwriting competition Eco Music Challenge with her song "This Is Our Paradise". She participated in Masked Dancing King as "Naughty Boss (顽皮老板)". She proceeded to go to the final and won The Most Promising awards. She is currently a solo artist under Dream Sound Entertainment. On September 24, 2023, she released her debut solo album “0.25”. On August 12, her single 2030, 我想对你说 (2030, I want to tell you) was released as the theme song of the United Nations 2020 International Youth Day Dialogue. She gave a speech titled 用克制生活换更好的未来 (Self-control for a better future) and performed the theme song live as one of the Chinese Youth Advocates for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals at the event. She is a Youth Ambassador for Kappa China Official. She is also a Coach Watch Brand Spokesperson. On July 18 2022 she was appointed as Maybelline New York Brand Ambassador. She is a BYD Brand Youth Ambassador. In 2021, on the QQ Music film, she won The Most Popular Film, TV OST Female Singer and TV OST Popularity Awards 2020. On September 26, at the Weibo Music Awards 2023, she won the "Enterprising Singer of the Year" award. On October 31, at the Weibo Welcome Night 2023, she won the "Popular Singer" award.
