Ethan Juan is a Taiwanese actor, singer, model, and writer. He was born into a military family in a military dependents' village in Taichung, Taiwan. He attended various schools during his early years, including private and public elementary schools, as well as several junior high schools in Taichung, Taiwan. He was expelled from Taichung First Senior High School for fighting, then expelled again from New Taipei Municipal Sanmin Senior High School for the same reason, and later dropped out of Yining Senior High School in Taichung due to his addiction to online games. After being expelled from the day school of Taichung Private Xinmin Senior High School for disciplinary issues related to fighting, he transferred to the night school. He later enrolled in both the China University of Technology and Shing Wu University but did not complete his studies at either institution.
