Gordon Liu is a Hongkongese actor born in Guangdong, China. He also worked as a director, producer, and martial arts choreographer, and was once an artist under TVB. He attended the Salesian School from 1962, starting in the fourth grade, and graduated in 1965. He is the adopted son of Lau Chin, with no blood relation to Lau Chin's other two sons, Lau Kar Leung and Lau Kar Wing. As a disciple of the renowned martial artist Lam Sai Wing, he practiced traditional martial arts from a young age, laying the foundation for his later success as an action star. After completing secondary school in 1972, he worked as an accountant during the day and taught martial arts at Lau Chin's school in the evenings. In 1973, he entered the film industry through the movie "The Hero of Chiu Chow." On August 17, 2011, he suffered a stroke, causing imbalance and a fall that resulted in a head injury.
