In 1999, while she was still in high school, she was a model who appeared in commercials and music videos before gaining wider attention in 2003 and appearing in the hit Korean television dramas "All In" and "Dae Jang Geum." She studied at Seoul Women’s University. She is currently a spokeswoman for Stila Cosmetics. For her role in "Resurrection" she was awarded the KBS Best New Actress award. She also won the 2018 Blue Dragon Best Actress Award for her portrayal of an ex-convict whose life is changed by a little girl in the movie "Miss Baek" (미쓰백). In 2009, Han Ji Min published a book titled “We’re Already Friends: Han Ji Min’s Philippines Donation Book” that included stories and drawings detailing her experience of volunteering in a Philippine mountain village school. In 2006, a car accident that happened on the set of "Wolf" caused serious injuries to Han and her co-star Eric Mun. This caused the drama to be repeatedly delayed, and a decision was made to discontinue the show, leaving only the three episodes that had already aired. (Source: MyDramaList).
