Jung Sung Chan, known simply as Sungchan, is a South Korean singer, dancer, former member of NCT (participated in the sub-unit NCT U) and current member of RIIZE (short for "Rise & Realize"). He attended Cheongdam High School but dropped out and later passed the High School Graduation Qualification Examination. Before debuting, he spent 4 years as a trainee at SM Entertainment. He made his debut in 2020 when he was introduced as a new member of NCT's sub-unit NCT U during a special broadcast on V Live. The sub-unit debuted in 2016 and is the only one without fixed members as they change depending on the song concept. He joined for the promotion of their 2nd full-length album "NCT Resonance Pt. 1" and remained with the group until the agency decided to make some changes. In May 2023, it was announced he will depart NCT and will join a new boy group SM Entertainment was planning to create.
