Kimura Takuya is a Japanese actor, entertainer, singer, and voice actor born in Tokyo. He is represented by Johnny's. He was a member of the male idol group SMAP from 1988 until they disbanded in 2016 and is currently a solo artist. He is known by the nickname "Kimutaku". After joining Johnny's in November 1987, he became a member of "Skate Boys". The following April, he was one of the chosen juniors to form the idol group SMAP. They went on to debut in September 1991. His first lead role in "Asunaro Hakusho" in 1993 as an actor as well as his subsequent appearance in "Wakamono no Subete" in 1994 resulted in him gaining a lot of attention as an actor.
