Kang Hyung Gu, known professionally as Kino, is a South Korean singer, dancer and member of PENTAGON (펜타곤). He graduated from Hanlim Arts High School and later obtained a degree from Cyber University. He participated in Mnet's survival show "Pentagon Maker" and was chosen as one of the original 7 members of the new boy group to be managed by CUBE Entertainment (큐브엔터테인먼트). He made his debut in October 2016 as PENTAGON's main dancer, vocalist, sub-rapper and face of the group with their self-titled debut EP. He also created the choreography for the EP's title track and was part of a dance team called “Urban Boyz”. Around mid-2017, he briefly joined the co-ed project group M.O.L.A. with Seventeen's Vernon, 15&'s Jamie and others, releasing the single "Chillin". The group has not released any new material since then. He debuted as a soloist in August 2022 with the single “Pose“. In October 2023, CUBE announced his contract had ended and was not renewed. He left the agency but remains part of PENTAGON. He set up his own agency, NAKED, in December 2023. A few weeks later, he released the single "Fashion Style". (Source: MyDramaList).
