Lee Han Gyul is a former member of MBK Entertainment's boy group IM, a sub-unit of the band IM66. He was a dancer of T-ara Jiyeon's ''Lullaby'' and Shannon's ''Hello'' comeback stage. He was a contestant under the agency Yama & Hotchicks on the KBS2 survival reality show "The Unit: Idol Rebooting Project", but eliminated in the final episode 14 at 13th rank in the UNI+ B (male contestant) team. He was featured in the title track "Black Heart" from the mini-album "Black Heart" by UNB (the final boy group of The Unit) as a backup performer. After training for four years and two months under MBK Entertainment, he made his appearance as a contestant on the boy group survival reality show, Produce X 101. He finished at 7th place and becoming a member of X1. The group officially debuted on August 27, 2019, with the mini-album, "Emergency: Quantum Leap". After X1 disbandment, he debuted as an H&D member with the mini-album, Soulmate. November 19, 2020, he and Do Hyon debuted as BAE173's members with their first mini-album, "Intersection: Spark".
