Wong Yuk Hei, known professionally as Lucas, is a Hong Kong rapper, singer, model and member of the supergroup SuperM (슈퍼엠) under SM Entertainment (SM엔터테인먼트). He is a former member of the South Korean boy group NCT (엔시티) and the Chinese sub-unit group WayV (威神V). Born in Cha Tin, Hong Kong to a Chinese father of Teochew descent and a Thai mother, he speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, English, and Korean. Lucas officially made his debut with NCT on March 14, 2018 with the group's debut studio album " NCT 2018 Empathy." In December 2018, Lucas was announced as part of NCT's China-based unit WayV managed by SM Entertainment subsidiary Label V. On August 23, 2021, a Korean netizen claiming to be Lucas’s ex-girlfriend uploaded a post on her social media and accused him of gaslighting and being a gold digger. Two days later, SM Entertainment released a statement to announce that Lucas would be halting his activities to reflect on his actions. On 10 May 2023, SM Entertainment announced that Lucas would be departing from NCT and WayV to pursue his individual endeavors.
