Nam Tae Hyun is a former member of the boy group Winner, formed in 2013 by YG Entertainment through the survival show "WIN: Who Is Next". In 2015, while Winner was on hiatus, Tae Hyun made his acting debut in the web drama "Midnight Girl". The same year, he played a supporting role in the drama "Late Night Restaurant". On October 12, 2016, he halted promotional activities and received treatment for mental health issues. On November 25, 2016, it was announced that he had withdrawn from the group and had terminated his contract with YG Entertainment. In March 2017, he founded a music label, South Buyers Club. Sometime afterwards, the label was renamed to The South. Under the label, Nam debuted the band South Club, of which he is the leader, main vocalist, guitarist, and main composer. In November 2019, he announced that he had closed his music label and that the band had signed with new management. He's now under NoName Music. On March 8, 2023, he was booked for drunk driving. Later that year, he appeared in an episode of "In-Depth 60 Minutes", aired on July 14, where he revealed his drug addiction, first to diet and prescription pills while a member of WINNER to maintain his weight low. And later, during the pandemic, his depression and anxiety increased as he was not being booked as much so he began using stronger drugs until the point where he could not function without them.
