Nam Woo Hyun is a South Korean singer, dancer, actor, musical actor, former member of TOHEART (투하트) and current member of INFINITE (인피니트). He graduated from Dobong Information Industrial High School and later obtained an associate's degree in Broadcasting Entertainment and a bachelor's degree in Production, both from Dong-Ah University of Media and Arts and a master's degree in Applied Music from Sejong University. He made his debut in June 2010 as the group's main vocalist and lead dancer with their first EP, "First Invasion". In 2012, the single "The Chaser" was named Billboard's third-best K-pop song of the 2010s decade and was included in Rolling Stone's list of 75 Greatest Boy Band Songs of All Time in 2020. The band was managed by Woollim Entertainment (울림엔터테인먼트). He debuted as a musical actor in 2012 with a role in the musical "Gwanghwamun Sonata" (광화문 연가). In March 2014, he joined a special project alongside SHINEE's Key called TOHEART. The duo debuted with their mini-album, "Delicious", and promoted for the rest of the year before returning to their respective groups. He made his directorial debut in December 2014 with the short horror film "What Happened in Hong Kong" (홍콩에서 생긴일). He debuted as a soloist with his first mini-album, "Write", in 2016. He enlisted for his mandatory military service on October 24, 2019, and was discharged on August 4, 2021. After being released, he continued to do various musicals and promoting as a solo artist and as part of INFINITE. He left Woollim Entertainment in October 2022 but remained part of the group and later signed with Jflex Entertainment. In May 2023, it was reported that INFINITE established its own agency, Infinite Company (인피니트 컴퍼니), with Kim Sung Kyu as the company representative. The agency handles all promotional activities for the group while each member remains in their own agency for individual activities. A few days later, Woollim Entertainment CEO Lee Jung Yeop transferred the trademark rights for the name INFINITE over to the group so they could continue their activities without changing their group name.
