Ryu Jiwon is a South Korean actress and singer born in Daegu, South Korea. She is also currently active as the leader of the girl group IRRIS under the stage name I.L. She initially debuted as the visual and center of the girl group GOOD DAY in 2017. However, after the group disbanded in 2018, she went on to become a member of the girl group REDSQUARE in 2020 under the position of visual, center, and sub-vocalist. The group re-branded to the girl group IRRIS in 2022, with the position of leader being added to her roster. She initially debuted in a small role for the web drama "DEBUT IMPENDING" in 2020 and went on to take bigger roles throughout the following year, leading up to her role as a supporting character in her first on-air drama, "IDOL: The Coup" in 2021. She was praised for her natural acting abilities throughout the show and has continued to push herself as an actress by taking on more and more exciting roles.
