Shin Seung Hoon, known professionally as XXIN, is a South Korean singer, dancer and former member of ZEST (제스트) and NOIR (느와르). He graduated from Korea National Open University and, before debuting, spent 8 years as a trainee. He made his debut in 2016 when he joined ZEST. The group had debuted in July 2014 but underwent several lineup changes within the first year. He was added by the agency, No. 1 Media (넘버원 미디어; formerly known as Zenith Media Contents) in an attempt to re-launch the group but it ultimately disbanded a few months after he joined. After switching agencies, he re-debuted in April 2018 as NOIR's leader, main rapper and vocalist with their first mini-album, "Twenty's Noir". However, LUK Factory (럭팩토리; formerly known as IONE Entertainment) mishandled the group's management, which led to several arguments with all members. Just before enlisting, he made his solo debut in November 2020 (under the stage name XXIN) with the single "Don't Touch Me". One month later, he attempted to enlist but was rejected due to a low platelet count. He officially enlisted for his mandatory military service on March 2, 2021, and was discharged in late 2022. Issues with LUK Factory continued, with some members accusing the agency of violating their contract terms and failing to support them. In July 2022, the contracts of 6 members (he was not involved) were terminated, and they filed a lawsuit against LUK Factory. It was never announced, but it is assumed NOIR quietly disbanded in mid-2023. On May 2, 2024, it was revealed they won the lawsuit, but the agency is now suing the members for damage compensation. He now continues to promote as a soloist. (Source: MyDramaList).
