Sonn Hye Soo is a South Korean opera singer. He graduated with a degree in Vocal Music from Seoul National University and, while attending the university, he won Central Music Competition in 1998. Later, he moved to Germany and obtained a Music Diploma from Universität der Kunste in Berlin and the Music Performance Program from Dresden National University. In 2002, he was the first Asian to win the Mozart Competition in Austria and one year later, he was selected as a promising young singer in the German show "2003 Stars von Morgen" (2003 Stars from Tomorrow). He has worked in numerous musicals both in Germany and in South Korea and was a panelist and judge in all three seasons of "Phantom Singer".
