Tamaki Hiroshi, born in Nagoya, is a Japanese actor represented by Aoi Corporation. His wife is actress Kinami Haruka, his sister-in-law is actress Kinami Sayaka, and his cousin is comedian Capybara. When he was in his third year of junior high, he was influenced by the drama "Wakamono no Subete" to audition to enter the entertainment world but failed this audition. However, in his second year of high school, at the age of 16, he was scouted by Aoi Teruyoshi, the president of his current company, in Nagoya. After graduating from high school, he moved to Tokyo and made his debut as an actor through the 1998 drama "Setsunai". He worked part-time at a restaurant, was a clerk at a convenience store, and worked at a daily paying moving business while attempting to gain more roles through auditions. He would eventually go on to appear in NHK's morning drama "Kokoro" in 2003. He attracted attention through his role as Sato Katsumasa in the film "Waterboys" in 2001. He also gained recognition through his roles in "Kokoro", "Itoshi Kimi e" and the commercials for "Pocari Sweat". He starred in his first drama with WOWOW's SP "Renai Shosetsu" in 2004.
