Age: 96
Birthday: June 4, 1928
Nationality: Chinese

Tien Feng was a Chinese actor, assistant director and producer born in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China. When he was a student, he was fond of drama and began participating in stage performances. In 1949, he joined the Army Drama Troupe and went to Taiwan with the army. Immediately afterwards, he made his screen debut in Taiwan's first Mandarin film, "Happenings in Ali Shan", and officially entered showbiz. In 1959, together with Lee Hang and Fang Chen, he co-directed the feature film "Wang Ge Liu Ge You Taiwan". In 1960, Tien went to Hong Kong to develop, and within two months after joining Shaw Brothers, he made nine films, which earned him the title of "Tian Jiu Bu". According to Lee Ying, with whom he had collaborated many times, they, together with Ching Miao and Lei Ming, were called "Taiwan's Four King Kongs" in the Hong Kong film industry at that time. In Tien's more than 40 years of acting career, he cooperated with many directors and performed more than 200 works, most of which were martial arts movies. In addition to performing in front of the scene, Tien also participated in behind-the-scene works. He served as an assistant director and producer and learned film theory from director Bai Ke. In 1971, Tien left Shaw Brothers in order to earn more money for his two children to study abroad. In the late 1970s and 1980s, the production of Mandarin films in Hong Kong decreased, and Cantonese TV dramas emerged. In 1983, he returned to Taiwan and made a comeback appearance on the TV series "The Star Knows My Heart". In November 2014, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 51st Golden Horse Film Festival. In the 2010s, Tien was still trendy even though he was over 80 years old. In August 2010, he appeared on the CTV program "Everybody Hahahaha", exhibiting his teapot collectables. Tien's death was reported in October 2015. He passed away in Hong Kong at the age of 87..
