Wang Tao, born in Anqing City, Anhui Province, is a film and television actor in Mainland China and graduated from Beijing Film Academy (Acting Department). He is a child of a military family. In 1998, by chance, he was selected by the provincial art school examiner and admitted to the Huangmei Opera performance class of Anhui Provincial Art School, where he received four years of training in the Huangmei Opera performance class. In 2002, he embarked on his journey north to study alone, and was admitted to the acting junior college class of Beijing Film Academy that year. In 2004, when he graduated from the acting class, Wang Tao received his first male leading role in his career, filming the youth inspirational TV series "Summer Records" 《夏日语录》.
