Raised in a sports-oriented family with both parents working as physical education teachers, he participated in cheerleading at National Qing Shui High School and earned blue belts in Taekwondo and Judo. In December 2017, he resigned from his role as host of Entertainment 100%, citing a desire to concentrate on his acting career after not being nominated for Best Host at the Golden Bell Awards for the second consecutive year.
