Choi Sung Yoon, known professionally as Y, is a South Korean singer, dancer, musical actor and member of GOLDEN CHILD (골든차일드). He graduated from Seoul Performing Arts High School and became a trainee in 2012. He made his debut in August 2017 as the group's main vocalist with their first EP, "Gol-Cha!" and enjoyed initial success in the South Korean and Japanese markets. In January 2022, they debuted in Japan with the single "A Woo!!" and their agency, Woolim Entertainment (울림엔터테인먼트), began planning for them to gain more international exposure through concert tours in the US and Europe. He made his debut as a musical actor in mid-2022 with roles in "Altar Boyz" and "Midnight Sun". In March 2023, he released his first digital single as a soloist titled "If I Were The Wind" (바람이라면).
