Zhang Lin, born in Qingdao of Shandong Province, is a national first-class actor of Shandong Provincial Theatre. He graduated from the Performance Department at Meishi Film Academy of Chongqing University, Class 02. In 2001, Zhang still a high school student, was selected by the director to star in the movie "The Heavy Sixteen", thus launching his acting career with the role Cheng Gang. In 2009, he won two Best Actor awards, the first one at the 9th Shandong Arts Festival for his performance in "Big Businesses Don't Count"; and the other at the 3rd Small Theatre Drama Festival of Shandong Province for "Party Member". In 2010, he won Best Actor at the 4th Small Theater Drama Festival of Shandong Province for his role in "Hidden Marriage". In 2012, he won the Lion Award, the highest prize in the national drama. In 2013, his role in the large-scale historical drama "Yan Fu" won the Outstanding Performance Award at the 10th China Arts Festival. In 2017, he won the honorary title of "Qilu Cultural Talent".
