Donnie Yen Ji Dan is a Hong Kong actor, martial artist, film director, producer, action choreographer, stuntman, and multiple-time world wushu tournament champion. Yen is one of Hong Kong's top action stars. Well versed in an array of martial arts, Yen's first accredited role was in the 1984 film, "Drunken Tai Chi". He has since been in more than 45 films, including "Ip Man" (2008) which became the biggest box office hit to date. Yen has co-starred with some of the biggest names in martial arts action films and has enjoyed success in international movies, including "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" (2016), "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" (2017), and in Disney's live-action "Mulan" (2020). Yen has been nominated and won multiple times the awards for Best Actor and Best Action Choreography. In 2015, he was named the Most Influential Actor at the Youku Night Awards and received a lifetime Achievement Award in 2017 at Foshan Film Awards. In 2012, Donnie Yen and his wife Cissy Wang co-founded Go.Asia, an online charity platform encouraging people to participate in charity work and serve local communities. Yen is an ambassador for the international charity Save the Children. He is activate in other charitable organizations and in February 2020, in light of the coronavirus pandemic in China and the rest of the world, he stepped in to donate HK$1 million to frontline medical workers in Wuhan.
