Sivaroj Kongsakul, nicknamed Karn, began his career in filmmaking as an assistant director for fellow Thai directors Aditya Assarat, Wisit Sasanatieng and Penek Ratanaruang. He made his short film debut with 'Always' in 2006, followed in 2007 by 'Silencio', which received a special mention at the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival. In 2010, Karn directed his first feature film, 'Eternity''. Following its world premiere at the Busan Film Festival, 'Eternity' went on to win multiple awards, including the prestigious Tiger Award at the 41st Rotterdam Film Festival. Karn directs the third and final segment of DISTANCE.
