Choi Yu Jin is a South Korean singer, dancer, former member of CLC (씨엘씨) and current member of KEP1ER (케플러). She graduated from Hanlim Entertainment Arts High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Acting Arts from Seoul Comprehensive Arts Practical School. Before debuting, she was a backup dancer for G.NA and appeared on several MVs. She also performed with fellow trainees in street busking events benefiting children with disabilities. She made her debut in March 2015 as CLC's lead dancer, sub-vocalist, sub-rapper, visual and center with their first mini-album, "First Love". In 2016, the group debuted in Japan with the EP "High Heels", and she made her acting debut with a role in the web drama "Nightmare Teacher". CLC continued to promote and release music until late 2020, when issues began with CUBE Entertainment (큐브엔터테인먼트) and the group members' contracts. They were on hiatus for a year and a half before the agency announced they had disbanded. However, in 2023, member Sorn announced on a Tik-Tok message that the group had actually not disbanded, just on an indefinite hiatus and blamed CUBE Entertainment for allegedly not wanting to promote them, so the actual group status is not clear. In late 2021, she participated in Mnet's survival show "Girls Planet 999", where she ranked 3rd. During the final episode of the show, she was confirmed as part of the resulting project group and was set to perform for 2 and a half years. She made her debut in January 2022 as KEP1ER's leader and vocalist with the mini album "First Impact". In June 2024, the agencies, WakeOne Entertainment (웨이크원엔터테인먼트) and Swing Entertainment (스윙엔터테인먼트), decided to continue the group, so she renewed her contract. (Source: MyDramaList).
