Kim Sun Woo is a South Korean singer, dancer and member of THE BOYZ (더보이즈). He graduated from Hanlim Entertainment Arts High School and spent 4 years playing soccer before deciding to become a singer. He made his debut in December 2017 as the group's main rapper, lead dancer and sub-vocalist with their first EP, "The First" and were managed by Cre.Ker Entertainment (크래커엔터테인먼트). They were able to win rookie awards in 2018 from the Korea Brand Awards, the Soribada Best K-Music Awards and the Melon Music Awards, all of which, allowed them to gain a steady international fanbase. In November 2019, they debuted in Japan with the release of their EP, "Tattoo". Then, in May 2020, the group entered Mnet's reality competition "Road to Kingdom" ending in 1st place and earning more commercial success and even winning Artist of the Year at the 2021 The Fact Music Awards. In September 2021, their agency merged with PlayM Entertainment and became IST Entertainment (IST엔터테인먼트). In August 2022, he went on hiatus due to health issues but returned a few months later. However, in November 2023, he was hospitalized after experiencing severe neck pain and was diagnosed with neuralgia and neuritis.
