Huang Zi Hong Fan is a Chinese bel canto singer and actor born in Lanzhou, Gansu, and raised in Chengdu, Sichuan. He is currently pursuing modern music production at Berklee College of Music. He gained public recognition in 2018 by participating in the inaugural season of the Hunan TV bel canto variety show "The Voice of China." His father is tenor singer Huang Ji Zhong, and his mother is a professor at Sichuan Normal University. At age nine, he relocated to Chengdu for his parents' work. He received vocal training from tenor Dai Yu Qiang and Professor Zhao De Ying of the Central Conservatory of Music. During his senior year of high school in 2017, he recorded singing videos in multiple languages to apply to universities and received acceptance from six prestigious music institutions worldwide, including Johns Hopkins University, Berklee College of Music, New England Conservatory, Boston Conservatory, Manhattan School of Music, and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He graduated from Chengdu No. 7 High School Jiaqiao Foreign Language School before enrolling at Berklee. In August 2018, Huang released his first single, "Air China's Heavenly Fragrance," which served as a promotional song for Air China.
