Shim Sang Il is a South Korean singer, dancer and former member of SNUPER (스누퍼). He graduated from Kyunghee High School. He made his debut in 2015 as the group's main vocalist with their first EP, "Shall We". The group enjoyed some success at the beginning but then went into an indefinite hiatus in early 2020 when some of the members began enlisting in the military. He enlisted on July 20, 2020, and was discharged ahead of schedule on April 2, 2021, due to health issues. While the group remained inactive, he decided to try trot music and participated in a trot-singing survival show. In May 2023, Widmay Entertainment (위드메이) announced SNUPER's disbandment after all members decided not to renew their contracts. (Source: MyDramaList).
