Angel Teng is a Taiwanese filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Her work deals with issues surrounding identity, gender, feminism, and human rights with subtle sensibility. Her first narrative feature film as the writer, “Bao Bao”, a Taiwan-UK co-production, premiered at the Outfest Film Festival in Los Angeles and was nominated for the Asia-Pacific Film Festival. She is a winner of the Taiwanese government’s Excellent Screenplay Award, a recipient of the Alison Doerner Fund for Women Pioneers in Filmmaking, an awardee of the CESASC Lisa Lu Foundation Scholarship, and a resident artist in Scotland with support from Templeton World Charity Foundation.
