Nuntanat Duangtisarn, nicknamed Joob, is an independent filmmaker born in Bangkok, Thailand. H started making film and photography when he was in high school in 2004. He grew up in a family where most members were women; mother, grandmother and nanny. His works tackle on the subject of intimate life, religious, illness, violence, memories and a relationship with women. Nuntanat studied cinema and fine art photography at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and the Glasgow School of Art. In 2013, He was selected to attend the film factory programme at the Sarajevo Film Academy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is conducted by a renowned Hungarian filmmaker, Bela Tarr. At that time he studied cinematography under the tutelage of Fred Kelemen, a German cinematographer and director. He has exhibited and screened at major film festivals including Venice Film Festival, Leeds International Film Festival, Fantaspoa International Fantastic Film Festival, Split International Festival of New Film, Kaohsiung Film Festival, and Busan International Film Festival.
