Ogigami Naoko is a Japanese film director. Among her most notable works are her films Kamome Shokudo and Megane. At the 2008 Berlin International Film Festival Megane won the Manfred Salzberger Award, for "broadening the boundaries of cinema today." Ogigami Naoko was born in Japan and graduated from Chiba University before she studied film at the graduate school of University of Southern California, School of Cinema-Television. Her directorial debut, Yoshino’s Barber Shop (2004), was invited to the Berlin Film Festival. She achieved international success with her third film, Kamome Diner (2006). She received awards at the Berlin Film Festival with her next films Glasses (2007) and Close-Knit (2017).
